About Cromwell
Cromwell is a vibrant and growing town of 7,500 people and is at the heart of the beautiful Central Otago in the South Island. It is situated on the shores of Lake Dunstan and is a base for exploring the Central Otago region.
Queenstown is nearby as are ski fields, national parks, lakes, rivers, bush and mountains.

Outdoor Education
We pride ourselves on providing dynamic outdoor programmes set in the beautiful environments of inland Otago.
Students experience a wide range of outdoor activities and leadership opportunities with a focus on developing their personal and social skills. Every Wednesday students are active with their classmates enjoying activities such as sailing, kayaking, mountain biking, tramping or skiing.
The Outdoor Education courses are designed as a progression from foundation skills at Level One, to more advanced physical demands at Level Three.

The Outdoor Education Programme fee covers expenses related to the specialised programmes that take place every Thursday. Activities include kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and tramping in Terms 1, 2 and 4. Term 3 is Snowsports The fees cover equipment hire, instruction, transport, and lift pass. We recommend students bring ‘worn in’ footwear if possible.
Contingency Fund
A contingency fund of a maximum NZD$600 or one term NZD$300 is charged. This is a sum of money which we hold for you to cover expenses during your stay, any unused funds will be returned to the student when the stay is over.
