Outdoor Education
Credits and Assessment:
All standards are internally assessed.
Level 3: 4 Achievement Standard Credits
Level 3: 28 Unit Standard credits
Level 2: 9 Unit Standard credits
Level 2: 6 Achievement Credits
Entry Conditions:
Discretionary: any Year 12 or Year 13 student
may apply.
Students need to be physically fit and fully
committed to all modules within the course and
all opportunities that are provided. This will
included overnight trips and some weekend
activities.
What is the course about?
The Outdoor Education course is physically
demanding and will require some time outside
of school hours. This course will develop the
students' understanding of the outdoors and the
environment in which they live. They will also
learn to work as a team and work towards
achieving both personal and group goals.
This Course leads to:
National Certificate in Outdoor Recreation.
Cost:
Rock Climbing $350
Tramping $100
Snow Skills $200
