About The School
Papanui High School is situated in Christchurch, the South Island’s largest city. Christchurch has a rich cultural and historical atmosphere. It is situated within an hour’s drive of several skifields and is less than 15 minutes drive from surf beaches.
Papanui High School has gained a nationwide reputation for innovation in a wide range of fields. Our campus is a mix of historic and state of the art modern buildings and facilities. Our subject choice is both wide, varied and exciting.
 We have a particularly warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in the international department and throughout the school.
Papanui High School’s involvement in cultural and sporting activities is an important component of the balanced education the school provides. We provide lots of exciting activities for students to meet other students and to be involved.

 At the inaugural International Education Awards Papanui High School won the Excellence Award for Professional Development. This award showcases excellence in role-modelling all areas of international education, such as academic programmes, pastoral care and quality delivery of the Code of Practice.
Fees & Accommodation
Students are provided with homestay accommodation during their stay in New Zealand. The school’s homestay co-ordinator is responsible for placing students in a suitable home in the Papanui area.
